A professional remote-control brush mower may cut tall grass, weeds, briars, vines and suitable light woody growth. The exact limit depends on the manufacturer, cutting attachment, stem diameter, density, moisture, terrain and debris. It is not a stump grinder, forestry mulcher or tree-removal machine.
Grass and herbaceous growth
Tall grass and weeds are common applications. Dense, lodged or wet material can reduce travel speed and may require a higher first pass. A rough-terrain cut will not necessarily match a finish-mower appearance.
Briars and vines
Many brush systems can process briars and vines, but tangled material can wrap around moving components. Operators inspect frequently and shut the machine down according to the manual before clearing entanglement.
Saplings and woody stems
Some flail or brush heads are rated for specific stem diameters. That rating assumes the correct attachment and conditions. Scattered flexible volunteers differ from a dense stand of hardwood saplings, and cut stubs may remain.
